tech meets fashion: what happened when I asked ChatGPT for a color analysis

So last week I went to the Retail Women in Tech networking event. While chatting with some women, I started sharing that I offer styling and wardrobe consulting services.

One woman mentioned that color matching is huge in Asia right now — and instantly, I thought: if it’s big there, it’s only a matter of time before it trends here.

And since I’m a total AI junkie, I couldn’t resist testing ChatGPT to see if it could do a color analysis.

So I asked:

“Can you tell me what colors look best on me?”

And ChatGPT said…

“Absolutely! I’d love to help with that. Please upload a photo of your face in natural light (no heavy filters or makeup), and I’ll tell you your seasonal color type — like Soft Autumn or Cool Winter.”

I played along (of course) — but spoiler alert: ChatGPT doesn’t quite know its colors yet! See below. It's a bit confused.

My big takeaway? I’m sticking to wearing whatever colors and prints I love — because confidence and leopard print will always be your best color.

All my Leopard Print and Lipstick 💋,
