not to be a debbie downer…

I started drawing again. It happened right after Charlie Kirk was assasinated. What struck me was/is the silence around the hate he spread, the backwards ideology he represented, that my kids knew who he was because he was a master social marketer popping up in their social media feeds. Then Jimmy Kimmel was pulled off the air for commenting on it, which left me soooo angry. How do the Trump supporters still not see a problem here?

I’ve tried to tune out the news, but the lies seen as truth and the truth seen as lies, the censorship, the division-—it all feels like too much.

Where is this headed? How bad will it get?

In the face of all this uncertainty, I’ve gone back to drawing. It got me through the last four years of the dictator's administration and I’m hoping it can carry me through this moment too.
